ACCP will offer home study review and recertification courses in the following 10 specialties in 2023:

1. Pharmacotherapy
2. Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
3. Cardiology Pharmacy
4. Critical Care Pharmacy
5. Emergency Medicine Pharmacy (not available for recertification credit)
6. Geriatric Pharmacy
7. Infectious Diseases Pharmacy
8. Oncology Pharmacy
9. Pediatric Pharmacy
10. Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy (not available for recertification credit)

Developed by leading board-certified pharmacists and therapeutic specialists, each course delivers a comprehensive review of the domains outlined in the relevant specialty certification examination content outline developed by BPS. All courses use a case-based approach, covering all key content areas, with strong emphasis on the thought processes needed to solve patient care problems in each therapeutic area. Except for the review courses for Emergency Medicine Pharmacy and Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy (which were only recently approved as new specialties), each course is BPS approved as one component in a professional development program that can be used as an alternative to the written recertification examination.

Board-certified oncology pharmacists are required to complete the review course for recertification at least once but no more than three times, in nonconsecutive years, during a 7-year recertification cycle. For all other specialties listed earlier, the respective course can only be completed for recertification credit up to two times, in nonconsecutive years, during the 7-year recertification cycle.

The 2023 home study review and recertification courses will be released according to the following schedule.
