The mission of the ACCP Research Institute is to advance pharmacotherapy by supporting and promoting research, training, and educational programs. The Institute is continuing its commitment to uncompromising excellence in scholarship, education, and research while expanding the impact of clinical pharmacy professionals across the health care community. The overall goals for the Research Institute in 2009 are as follows:

• Develop the next generation of clinical pharmacy researchers through a variety of investigator development programs:
  • Focused Investigator Training (FIT) Program
  • Research and Scholarship Academy Program, through ACCP
  • PPD Bioanalytical Fluid and Tissue Sample Grant
  • Create a substantial national clinical pharmacy practicebased research network (ACCP PBRN).
