Postgraduate Trainee Update

Residents, Fellows, and Graduate Students

All resident, fellow, and graduate student members of ACCP currently receive a monthly electronic newsletter titled Experts in Training. The readers would like to thank all the PRNs, residency programs, and clinical pharmacists who have contributed to the publication. You may view archives through the link above. For topics you’d like to see covered in future editions, submit your ideas to [email protected].

PRNs can also engage resident, fellow, and graduate students through Twitter. Follow or tag @ACCPpostgrads to engage in dialogue on professional development and clinical topics.

ACCP will offer resident/fellow-specific educational programming at the 2018 Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy. Residents and fellows will also be able to speak to recruiters and preview early practitioner positions in the Professional Placement Forum. Consider representing your institution’s residency, fellowship, or new practitioner position at the ACCP Global Conference 2018 Professional Placement Forum this fall in Seattle.

ACCP resident and fellow members continue to benefit from the mentoring program. Mentors are ACCP members who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have volunteered to participate in the program. Mentor/mentee pairs are encouraged to correspond at least monthly and are provided with timely topics of discussion. A call for mentors goes out each year in August.

The College is currently accepting applications for all positions on the 2019 Resident Advisory Committee. The committee is a working group composed of residents, fellows, and graduate student members of ACCP. Applications for chair, vice chair, and member-at-large positions are due by June 15, 2018. Some exciting new resources for postgraduate trainees will be unveiled in the fall, thanks to the 2018 Resident Advisory Committee.
