The Board of Trustees recently completed a yearlong strategic planning process for the ACCP Research Institute (RI). An overview of this plan can be found on the ACCP RI Web site (www.accpri.org/plan). The plan is designed to guide the RI on an assertive path designed to benefit clinical pharmacist researchers and scholars, clinical pharmacy research, and the ultimate focus of that research—namely, positive health outcomes for the patients we all serve.

The ACCP RI wishes to thank the members of the Board of Trustees for their work throughout this process: Vicki Ellingrod (Chair), Larisa Cavallari, Lawrence Cohen (Vice Chair), M. Lynn Crismon, Michael Ernst, Susan Fagan, Douglas Fish, Curtis Haas, Jill Kolesar, Julie Maurey (Treasurer), and Keith Olsen. In addition, the RI is pleased to welcome three new members to the Board of Trustees—Mary Ensom, Gary Yee, and Alan Zillich—and to bid fond farewell to Drs. Cohen, Crismon, Fagan, and Fish, who complete their terms on the board at the end of 2013.

The RI looks forward to implementing the new strategic plan to develop clinical pharmacist researchers, advance clinical pharmacy research, and position the RI for further success.
