- Clinical Reasoning Series in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy: It’s Not a Sprint, It’s a Marathon: Keeping Up with Hypertension Management will offer Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) recertification credit.

The Clinical Reasoning Series in Critical Care Pharmacy program, The 2018 PADIS Guideline: Boosting Efforts to Reduce Pain, Oversedation, Delirium, Immobility, and Disrupted Sleep in the ICU, will provide an in-depth analysis of current strategies for managing protocols for mobilization and rehabilitation as well as for promoting quality sleep in the ICU. As practices continue to advance, it is important to understand the clinical pharmacist’s role in optimal patient care. The content of this program will expand on the new 2018 PADIS guidelines and provide practical approaches to implementation. Sessions will cover the following topics:

The program has been approved by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) for 6.0 hours of recertification credit for both BCCCP and BCPS certificants.

The Clinical Reasoning Series in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy session, It’s Not a Sprint, It’s a Marathon: Keeping Up with Hypertension Management, will provide a detailed analysis of current strategies for the treatment of patients with hypertensive conditions, as well as discuss the implications for pharmacists’ patient care services. Sessions will cover the following content:
- Contemporary Management of Hypertension: Comparing the Recent Guidelines
- Treating Hypertension in Special Patient Populations
- Strategies for Managing Resistant Hypertension
- Treatment of Hypertensive Urgencies in the Outpatient Setting
