Legacy Society Welcomes New Members

The ACCP Research Institute (RI) was pleased to announce new Legacy Society members on Sunday, October 8, during the 2017 ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix. Drs. Seena and Stuart Haines, Dr. Sheldon Holstad, Drs. Susan and Michael Maddux, Dr. Richard Parrish, and Dr. Terry Seaton were inducted by Dr. Ronald Evens.

Evens, a charter member of the Legacy Society, welcomed new inductees and spoke briefly to ACCP members attending the ACCP Awards and Recognition Ceremony about his own joy in giving to the RI. He also presented examples of legacy giving plans and innovative contribution ideas.

Gifts to the Legacy Society are acts of sustained commitment to advancing clinical pharmacy research and ACCP’s research mission. The Legacy Society began in 2012 with two charter members, Fred Eshelman and Evens (above).

You too may become a member of the Legacy Society with cumulative gifts of at least $50,000. This amount can be achieved through annual, one-time, and planned giving contributions (e.g., through wills, trusts, insurance policies, or other mechanisms). The RI has also introduced new lifetime donor levels this year to recognize members’ cumulative gifts leading up to the Legacy Society. Please visit the RI’s Lifetime Donor page for more information and to check your own standing.

The Legacy Society has contracted with the Stelter Company, a well-known personal philanthropy company, to provide donors with gift and estate planning ideas and literature support, scenario tools and calculators, and expert advice. Visit the resource-rich RI gift planning info & tools website now, or contact Sheldon Holstad, Director, ACCP RI ([email protected]) for assistance or to discuss a gift.
