BPS Seeks Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists to Serve on Pharmacotherapy Specialist Role Delineation Study Panel

The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) has issued a call for applications to serve on its Pharmacotherapy Specialist Role Delineation Study Panel. This role delineation study is a critical step in developing the materials needed to ensure the relevance of the upcoming BPS pharmacotherapy certification examination to clinical practice. Prospective panelists must be available for, and commit to, an in-person meeting in the Washington, D.C.–area on February 9–10, 2019, as well as a follow-up conference call. As part of the 2-day February meeting, panelists will review and update the critical tasks, knowledge statements, and skills needed to demonstrate competency as a pharmacotherapy specialist.

Prospective panelists must be board certified in pharmacotherapy (i.e., hold a current BCPS credential). BPS will carefully consider applications to ensure the panel is composed of clinical specialists representing a variety of practice settings and geographic regions.

Board-certified pharmacotherapy specialists interested in being considered must apply by November 20, 2018. The process of evaluating applications and selecting panelists will be completed and the results announced by November 30, 2018. BPS will reimburse panelists’ travel costs associated with this activity. Visit the BPS website here to apply.
