Our structured PGY2 program is heavily weighted in direct patient care activities designed to develop expertise and clinical competence in the pharmacotherapeutic management of cancer patients. Through required and elective rotations in a variety of focused hematology, oncology, and acute and ambulatory care settings, the resident will broaden and refine his/her clinical problem-solving skills in cancer management. Opportunities for formal and informal teaching exist in a variety of settings including programs at MD Anderson and Texas colleges of pharmacy. Additionally, MD Anderson is a cancer research center that provides a practice environment that incorporates clinical research into the daily activities.
