St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, home to the Texas Heart Institute (THI), is located within the heart of the Texas Medical Center. St. Luke's is a 912 bed (672 in service), non-profit, tertiary (acute care) teaching hospital with 39 operating rooms and 157 critical care beds. St. Luke's is the primary teaching hospital for Baylor College of Medicine and is also affiliated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. This is 24-month program offering a MS in Pharmacy Administration degree and concurrent PGY1/PGY2 certificates. Administrative rotations are human resources, finance management, automation, regulatory, Joint Commission, formulary management, and Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee issues. Experiences will also include clinical rotations in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, infectious diseases, medication safety/staff development and electives. There is also a staffing component every other weekend.
