ACCP Launches DEIA Toolkit

Take a look at the new online toolkit compiled to help clinical pharmacists build inclusive values into their practice, education, and research.

As the primary feature of a new webpage devoted to diversity and inclusion, a diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) toolkit being launched by ACCP is designed to provide pharmacists with resources to inform incorporation of DEIA principles into clinical pharmacists’ practice, education, and research. Developed by the 2023 ACCP Task Force on DEIA, this online resource has over 100 vetted resources. The dynamic web-based tool allows users to filter resources according to setting, topic, and format. Settings include practice, teaching/education, research/scholarship, mentoring, and recruitment/employment. The list of topics is broad and includes race/ethnicity/culture and religion, sex/gender/orientation, and disability/ableism. If you are unsure whether this would be a helpful reference for you or how you might use it, check out the DEIA checklists for each setting, and review the thought-provoking prompts. Visit the site and peruse the many articles, guides, and training modules. Are there other resources that you think should be added? Send them to [email protected] to be considered. The toolkit will be maintained and expanded by the 2024 ACCP DEIA Task Force.
