HIV PRN

Since the HIV PRN’s first year, membership has grown from 41 members to more than 200 members. As life expectancy increases for people living with HIV, managing comorbid disease states and polypharmacy is increasingly vital. As such, the PRN will continue collaborating with other PRNs to increase networking and educational efforts for pharmacists who may interact with this population through research, education, or practice. In addition, the PRN is further integrating students and trainees because members understand the importance of guiding the next generation of pharmacists with an interest in HIV. As the field of HIV continues to evolve, there is a continuous need for collaboration and research that demonstrates the benefits and best practices for clinical pharmacists in preventing and treating HIV. The PRN’s future is vital to the continued sharing of evidence-based recommendations and experiences to optimize patient care by pharmacists around the world.
