Expanding your network of professional colleagues has never been easier. This spring, clinical pharmacists from around the globe will come together for the ACCP/ESCP International Congress on Clinical Pharmacy, ACCP’s Update in Therapeutics: The Pharmacotherapy Preparatory Course, and PPAG’s International Pediatric Pharmacy and Pharmacology Symposium. Be a part of this special event April 24–28, in sunny Orlando, Florida.
In addition to educational programming, participating in the Congress offers opportunities for casual networking with fellow pharmacists—an opportunity that comes along only once every 5 years! This year’s Congress kicks off with an Opening Reception on Saturday night poolside at the luxurious, resort-style, Rosen Centre Hotel, the headquarter hotel for the meeting. Spend an evening under the stars mingling with old friends and enjoying hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
Those interested in pediatric pharmacy will want to join PPAG’s networking reception with roundtable discussions on Friday night. Roundtable topics include the following: sedation in critical care, standardized dosing, parenteral nutrition, pediatric dosing for obesity/PKs, pediatric liver disease, palliative care, herbals/complementary and alternative medicine, global issues in anticoagulation, adherence/compliance/concordance, and pandemic/emergency planning. Faculty from around the world will lead these roundtable discussions. All meeting registrants are welcome to attend.
ACCP’s PRNs will host business meetings and networking forums beginning Monday evening. You do not have to be a member of a PRN to attend these forums. Many of these reception-style forums offer informal roundtable discussions or poster presentations, in addition to time for socializing. Monday evening’s PRNs include the following: Adult Medicine, Ambulatory Care, Education and Training, Geriatrics, Infectious Diseases, Pediatrics, and Pharmaceutical Industry. Tuesday evening, join the following PRNs: Cardiology, Central Nervous System, Clinical Administration, Critical Care, Drug Information, Nephrology, and Women’s Health.
Wrap up your meeting experience with newfound friends at the Closing Reception Monday evening. Enjoy refreshments and converse with colleagues at the Rosen Centre Hotel. Meeting sessions wrap up the next day, on Tuesday afternoon. For more information on the Congress, the Rosen Centre Hotel, and exploring Orlando, visit the Web site at www.accp.com/congress.
