As 2022 comes to an end, the ACCP Foundation Board of Trustees wants to thank you for your support, volunteer hours, and participation in ACCP over the past year. Together, we have moved our community forward. With your continued backing, the ACCP Foundation will remain committed to achieving its mission of improving human health by supporting research, scholarship, and practice.

As you know, rigorous researchers, skilled practitioners, and effective educators don’t just happen. The ACCP Foundation is dedicated and designed to meet the growing needs of all clinical pharmacists. It serves as a hub for the clinical pharmacy community to connect, strengthen, and inspire one another to action.

The Foundation’s intentional efforts toward building strong research programs, developing robust practices, and nurturing the next generation of clinical pharmacists will expand in 2023 and beyond. A new Medication Optimization practice advancement funding mechanism is forthcoming. Enhanced practitioner, researcher, and scholar support is anticipated by reintroducing advanced traineeships or mini-sabbaticals, funded scholarships for development programs, and summer internships for students.

2022 Foundation MeRIT Participants

The Foundation will also continue successful programs like the Focused Investigator Training (FIT), Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT), Futures Grants Research Awards programs and relevant educational programs aimed at developing clinical research and the scholarly abilities of students, trainees, and clinical pharmacists.
