ACCP Professional Leadership Development Program 

ACCP's Professional Leadership Development program is designed to provide members with an opportunity to learn leadership principles within the framework of ACCP governance through the perspectives of both elected leaders and staff. The year-long program will prepare participants for service as leaders within ACCP as well as the profession. Applications open April 1 – June 1 each year.

Specialty certification

ACCP offers BPS-approved professional development programs for ambulatory care pharmacy, cardiology pharmacy, critical care pharmacy, emergency medicine pharmacy, geriatric pharmacy, infectious diseases pharmacy, oncology pharmacy, pain management pharmacy, pediatric pharmacy, and solid organ transplantation pharmacy (in collaboration with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists [ASHP]), as well as pharmacotherapy.

PGY 1 equivalency

This ACCP white paper supports residency training as the standard preparation for direct patient care but also proposes a standardized “residency equivalency” pathway for experienced pharmacists to demonstrate comparable competencies through practice, documentation, and board certification.

Congressional Healthcare Policy Fellowship

This Washington, DC-based program, the only one of its kind in the nation, offers a unique opportunity for a pharmacist to serve as a staff member in the U.S. Congress. The fellowship provides exposure to the policymaking process and equips participants with the skills, experience, and professional network needed to pursue impactful careers in health policy and advocacy. Alumni are well positioned for leadership and policy-focused roles across a range of sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry, nonprofit organizations, professional associations, and federal, state, and local government.
