Infectious Diseases
Released in January 2018, Infectious Diseases is the latest release in the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program (PSAP). The book focuses on the most up-to-date, evidence-based management strategies for common infectious diseases encountered by pharmacists in any practice setting.
Infectious Diseases includes eight chapters divided into four learning modules. Chapter topics and the number of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) hours offered by each module are as follows:
- Module I (5.5 CPE hours)
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Hepatitis C Virus Infection
- Module II (4.5 CPE hours)
- Lower Respiratory Tract Infections
- Rhinosinusitis
- Module III (4.5 CPE hours)
- Ophthalmic Infections
- Ear Infections
- Module IV (4.5 CPE hours)
- Lung Abscesses
- Clostridium difficile Infection
Pharmacists interested in completing the modules toward CPE credit must successfully complete the associated tests by January 14, 2021. Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPSs) interested in completing the modules toward specialty recertification credit must successfully complete the associated tests by May 15, 2018.
