This presentation will delve into lesser-known forms, such as Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY), Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA), and gestational diabetes, as well as rare syndromic and secondary diabetes. Through an exploration of pathophysiology, diagnostic challenges, and tailored management strategies, attendees will gain insights into the complexities of these conditions. Armed with this knowledge, pharmacists will be better equipped to optimize patient care, support individualized treatment plans, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Learning Objectives1. Explain how to diagnose latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA).
