The Pain and Palliative Care PRN will detail opioid stewardship efforts including opioid tapering, naloxone and risk mitigation reviews. These methods have newly available research to support their positive effect on patient outcomes. The Health Outcomes PRN will explore the latest evidence assessing the broader impact of opioid stewardship programs on healthcare utilization and patient safety. This session will highlight key findings from recent studies, including the impact on medication safety, health outcomes, and healthcare costs.
