Target on Oncology Pharmacotherapy: Updates, Safety, and Management of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor and Immune Effector Cell Therapies will focus on how the board-certified pharmacotherapy pharmacist can recognize and manage medication-related therapies and concerns in this specialized patient population. The presentation will provide a review of immune checkpoint inhibitor and immune effector cell therapy, therapeutic patient monitoring, therapy-related adverse events, and how to manage select therapy-related events. Board certified pharmacotherapy specialists who manage or encounter patients receiving oncologic medication treatment, and pharmacists who engage in medication monitoring and safety will have much to gain by attending this session. This activity offers 1.50 contact hours of CPE and/or BCPS recertification credit. Learning Objectives1. Compare mechanism and indications between immune checkpoint inhibitor and immune effector cell therapies. 2. Recognize presentation of immune checkpoint inhibitor-related toxicity in commonly involved organ systems. 3. Design a therapeutic monitoring plan for immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. 4. Differentiate the presentation of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). 5. Formulate a management strategy for toxicity related to immune effector cell therapy. | | Speaker: | Lauren Ice, Pharm.D., BCOP, BCPS | | Pharmacy Supervisor, Cancer Health & Transplant Corewell Health Grand Rapids, Michigan | | View Biography |

Revolutionizing Pulmonary Care: Integrating Medication Management into Practice will provide a review of recently approved medications for asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and obstructive sleep apnea with comorbid obesity. The session will explore current approaches to identifying and managing overlapping features of asthma and COPD, termed asthma-COPD overlap, and management of severe disease with a focus on biologic agents. The presentation will also emphasize the critical role of the pharmacist in patient-centered education and implementing updated immunization recommendations relevant to pulmonary care. Participants will engage with current literature to support diagnosis, identify disease-specific factors influencing pharmacotherapy, and apply appropriate monitoring strategies to optimize treatment outcomes. This activity offers 1.50 contact hours of CPE and/or BCPS recertification credit. Learning Objectives1. Differentiate the clinical features and management approaches of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and ‘asthma-COPD overlap.’ 2. Review newly approved and emerging treatment options for asthma and COPD. 3. Formulate a plan for implementing current guideline-recommended immunizations into comprehensive pulmonary care. 4.
