Pharmaceutical Industry PRN Focus Session — Industry: Friend or Foe?

The first of the session’s three presentations will cover those changes that have drastically shaped the pharmaceutical and other industries—and what remains the same. Regulations and laws that have been introduced to govern how the industry operates will be reviewed. We will also go over common industry-related designations and the work involved in those roles before moving on to industry partnerships and how collaborations can synergize with the clinical pharmacists’ career. Presenters will offer a ”How To” activity to instruct and engage the audience in ways they might become more involved with industry and research. Finally, presenters will speak to the “Real World Evidence” concerning FDA initiatives in medication decisions before concluding with a panel of clinical pharmacists who will share their experience and successes in partnering with industry.
