Beginning August 15, ACCP will offer resident, fellow, and graduate student members the opportunity to establish a mentor-mentee relationship with an established professional outside their training program.
Developed by the ACCP National Resident Advisory Committee, the ACCP Mentoring Program is designed to help advance ACCP’s strategic plan by enhancing the professional development of postgraduate trainees and fostering the development of future leaders within the clinical pharmacy discipline and ACCP.
Mentees will have the opportunity to receive career and professional development guidance on issues like job hunting, interviewing, curriculum vitae and letter-of-intent writing, publishing, preparing for promotion, funding research, and more. Consider encouraging postgraduate trainees at your institution to take advantage of this mentoring opportunity. Even if already mentored at their home institution, participants will benefit from external perspectives and increased networking opportunities.
Resident, fellow, and graduate student members of ACCP can search for a mentor who matches their interests by visiting the ACCP Web site at http://www.accp.com/resfel/mentor.aspx. Mentors are ACCP member volunteers with at least 5 years of professional work experience after their training. To ask questions about the program, please contact Keri Sims at [email protected].
