Frontiers Fund Accepts Stock and United Way and Corporate Matching Donations—Use Your AmEx Card and Earn Rewards Points

Like most people, you probably receive a lot of requests for support from charitable organizations during this time of year. Please include the Frontiers Fund and ACCP Research Institute in your 2008 plans.

Whether you use the outcomes of others’ research as an evidence-based practitioner or are personally involved in conducting research, your investment in the Frontiers Fund translates directly into improved patient care and expanded pharmacy practice. By working together through the Frontiers Fund, ACCP members are able to support the career development of clinical pharmacy investigators and the development of ACCP’s new practice-based research network.

Did you know you could donate stock or designate your United Way contribution to go to the Research Institute?

• Gifts of stock are received through the ACCP Research Institute brokerage account. Funds are then transferred to the Frontiers Fund account. Donations to the Frontiers Fund are tax deductible to the extent the law allows.
• Many United Way campaigns, particularly those in larger metropolitan areas, allow full “Donor Option,” in which the donor designates the final recipient of funds given through the United Way campaign. Many campaigns allow the ACCP Research Institute, as a separate 501(c)3 organization (ID#43-1717075), to be designated that recipient. The process and requirements are set by the local United Way and vary from one United Way to another. Please check with your local United Way.

Your help is needed now, as the donations made in 2008 will support new initiatives to be funded in 2009. No gift is too small! Every gift is important every year—$50, $100, $250, $500, or more.
