The ACCP Academy’s Leadership and Management Certificate Program helps prepare and motivate clinical pharmacists to meet the demands of virtually any leadership position. Established by ACCP in 2007, the program is designed to help participants better lead their personal and professional lives and to guide and inspire their colleagues in the workplace. Participation in this program has enabled leaders in clinical pharmacy to make the changes necessary to advance their respective missions within a variety of health care environments. A certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete 26.0 contact hours of coursework, which consist of 18.0 hours of required modules and 8.0 hours of electives. The program’s required modules are as follows:
- Leadership Primer (6.0 hours)
- Module 1: Personal Leadership Development (4.0 hours)
- Module 2: Interpersonal Leadership Development (4.0 hours)
- Module 3: The Attributes of a Leader (4.0 hours)
Elective modules, each consisting of 2.0 contact hours of instruction, are designed to meet the select needs of program participants, focusing on specific areas of leadership and management not covered in depth by the required modules.
