Register Now for the Oncology Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course

Mark your calendar for the increasingly popular Oncology Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course, which will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, May 14–16, 2009. This program is designed to help pharmacists prepare for the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Certification Examination that will be offered in October 2009. Even if you are not planning to sit for the BPS examination, you may still be interested in assessing your knowledge and skills in oncology by taking advantage of this advanced specialty program. The course is an excellent review for oncology practitioners seeking to remain current in all aspects of this practice specialty.

This course has been accredited for 20.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and it has been approved by BPS for recertification credit for Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacists. Course enrollment is limited to 250 participants, so be sure to register early to reserve your place—the 2008 course sold out early. Registering by April 15, 2009, will allow you to take advantage of the discounted early registration fee.

The course will take place at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore, a luxury hotel located in Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor. Hotel reservations will be accepted until April 16, 2009 (or until the group block sells out, whichever occurs first).

This course is part of a professional development program offered by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association. Visit the ACCP Web site, www.accp.com, for complete meeting details.
