Join ACCP on Saturday, October 7, during the 2017 ACCP Annual Meeting Welcome and Keynote Address, “Big Data for Team-Based, Patient-Centered Health Care: A Clinical Framework.” Summerpal Kahlon, M.D., director of Care Innovation at Oracle Health Sciences in Orlando, Florida, will serve as the 2017 Annual Meeting keynote speaker.
During the keynote address, Kahlon will provide insight into the emerging world of “big data” and how it pertains to the advancement of clinical pharmacy practice. Moreover, he will discuss how to incorporate and use robust data sets and information to improve clinical and humanistic outcomes for patients, as well as describe the current policy and advocacy issues that intersect with the world of big data.
In his work at Oracle Health Sciences, Kahlon focuses on delivering technological infrastructure to support individualized care at the intersection of population health and precision medicine. Kahlon has a background in electronic health records, health data exchange, mHealth, telemedicine, and community practice as an adult infectious diseases specialist in Florida. He is currently on staff at the Orlando VA Medical Center and is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
