The board of directors of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) recently announced the formal approval of its 13th specialty: Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy. The BPS announcement is available here.

ACCP was a co-petitioner with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists for this specialty. The College would like to recognize and thank ACCP members Maya Campara, Pharm.D., and Amanda Condon, Pharm.D., for leading the development of the petition.

Initial testing in the new specialty is planned for September 2020.
