This year, the ACCP Frontiers Fund is excited to launch its first-ever Trivia Fundraiser Challenge! The fundraising phase of the challenge is now open. During the fundraising phase of the Challenge, teams of four individuals registered for the 2018 Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy as an attendee or registered guest must raise $1000 or more to qualify for the trivia phase of the competition.
During the trivia competition phase of the Challenge, to be held Saturday evening, October 20, during the Opening Reception of the Global Conference, teams of four will compete in a rapid-fire battle of wits that includes questions pertaining to clinical pharmacy history, medical devices, and celebrity ailments. The competition will last 90 minutes or four rounds, whichever comes first. The fourth round will consist of questions on pop culture and geography. First-, second-, and third-place teams in the trivia competition will be awarded a prize, as will the team that raises the most money during the Challenge.
Each team that raises at least $1000 of donations to the ACCP Frontiers Fund will be able secure a table for the October 20 trivia competition. A special ACCP Trivia Challenge webpage (www.accpri.org/donate/triviaDonations.aspx) has been created for teams to submit a team and member names. Once a team is submitted, potential donors may immediately be sent to the webpage to contribute on behalf of the team. To keep teams abreast of their progress versus that of other teams, the webpage will also display each teams’ fundraising total on an ongoing basis.
After signing up on the Trivia Fundraising Challenge website, each team will receive a support packet to explain the challenge rules and assist with fundraising efforts. All proceeds from this event will support the Futures Grants, the FIT and MeRIT training programs, and new programs soon to come.
Do you have what it takes to win? Of course you do! For more information, please visit www.accpri.org/frontiers/ri_challenge.aspx or contact Jessie Culley at [email protected].
