New ACCP Webinar: Why Pursue Residency Training?

Join ACCP for an interactive webinar that addresses common questions about the pursuit of residency training. This webinar will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (EDT). Register here.

Presented by Dr. Stuart Haines, ACCP’s representative on the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Commission on Credentialing (COC), and Dr. Zachariah M. Deyo, PGY2 Resident at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, this webinar will address many of the factors driving the need for residency training, provide a basic definition and background information about residency training, compare and contrast the differences between PGY1 and PGY2 training opportunities, and examine the advantages and various career paths associated with residency training.

This webinar is designed for any student or pharmacist interested in learning more about the career advantages of completing a residency. This is the first webinar in a two-part series that examines the benefits of residency training and how to prepare for this next step in one’s professional development. (The second module, titled “Residency Prep 101: What to Do While You Are Still in School,” will be presented in December.)

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about residency training. The cost of participation is only $19.95 for an ACCP student member, $29.95 for any other ACCP member, and $39.95 for an ACCP nonmember. However, participation in the webinar is limited to 200 registrants, so register now. Registration closes at midnight (EST), November 22, 2009.
