Toby C. Trujillo, Pharm.D., FCCP, FAHA, BCPS, was chosen as ACCP president-elect in the annual elections held this past spring. Trujillo is professor and vice chair of clinical programs in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, clinical specialist in anticoagulation/cardiology, and co-chair of the Anticoagulation Stewardship Committee/Program at UC Health. He earned a BS degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis and a Pharm.D. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed a pharmacy practice residency. Trujillo went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy at the University of Arizona. He has held faculty positions at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Northeastern University School of Pharmacy. He also served as clinical coordinator and director of PGY1 and PGY2 cardiology residency programs at Boston Medical Center. Trujillo has been an active member of ACCP since 1996, serving on the Board of Regents and the Pharmacotherapy Publications Inc. Board of Directors from 2016 to 2019. He has also served on numerous ACCP committees; as an abstract reviewer, poster judge, and moderator; as a reviewer for Pharmacotherapy; and as an author and reviewer for specialty certification programs.

Stamm

DiDomenico

In other election results, Robert J. DiDomenico, Pharm.D., FCCP, FHFSA, FACC, and Pamela L. Stamm, Pharm.D., FCCP, FASHP, BCACP, BCPS, CDCES, were selected as regents. DiDomenico is an associate professor in the University of Illinois Chicago Retzky College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacy Practice, where he also serves as associate head for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives, and a cardiovascular clinical pharmacist at the University of Illinois Hospital. Stamm is an associate professor emerita of pharmacy practice at Auburn University and a clinical pharmacist practitioner at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Healthcare Systems in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Trujillo will begin his term as president-elect after the 2025 ACCP Annual Meeting in October and will assume the presidency in October 2026. As president, he will serve as chair of the Board of Regents and guide College programs and activities. In an interview with the ACCP Report, he commented:

The College has long been a cornerstone of my professional journey, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to the organization that has shaped so many of us. I want to thank you all for placing your trust in me to serve in this important role. As we look ahead, I am inspired by the collective strength, innovation, and dedication of our members. The profession of pharmacy continues to evolve rapidly, and ACCP is uniquely positioned to lead in advancing practice, education, and research that improves patient care. Together we will continue to elevate the role of pharmacists as essential contributors to the health care team. My commitment is to listen, engage, and advocate for our members—ensuring that your voices shape our strategic directions and that your work is supported and celebrated. I look forward to collaborating with all of you to build on our strong foundation and ensure pharmacists in all settings can contribute meaningfully to medication optimization.
