Winners of the 2026 Visual Abstract Challenge Are Announced

ACCP’s Visual Abstract Challenge offers postgraduate trainees the opportunity to combine primary literature evaluation skills with the ability to creatively communicate key components of the published research. All visual abstract submissions for the 2026 challenge were evaluated by 3 expert reviewers. Individuals with the top 5 submissions will receive complimentary registration to the 2026 ACCP Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City and ACCP gift codes redeemable for resources of their choice. Congratulations to the finalists!

First place was awarded to Alissa Frazzini, Pharm.D., MSMEd, PGY1 pharmacy resident at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Second place was awarded to Cami Hunger, Pharm.D., PGY1 clinical pharmacy resident at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Houston, Texas. The other finalists were Emily Evans, Pharm.D., PGY1 pharmacy resident at Mayo Clinic Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona; Sara Mansour, fellow at Egyptian Fellowship Program, Giza, Egypt; and Albeir Messiha, Pharm.D., MS, MTM, PGY1 pharmacy resident at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, Virginia.

The ACCP Visual Abstract Challenge is open to current residents, fellows, and post-Pharm.D. full-time graduate students. This innovative and unique competition offers individuals an opportunity to build their visual abstract creation skills for prepublished work in preparation for their own future publications. The challenge will open again for submissions in the spring of 2027. The 2026 visual abstract submissions can be viewed at www.accp.com/resfel/vac/abstracts.aspx.
