Antimicrobial resistance and diabetes mellitus represent two national and international health problems. ACCP’s Clinical Reasoning Series programs, to be offered in conjunction with the 2012 Annual Meeting, will discuss the challenges faced with both and offer the clinical pharmacist strategies to manage them by providing evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective services.
From Theory to Bedside: Clinical Reasoning Series and From Theory to Practice: Clinical Reasoning Series in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy are approved by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties for the recertification of the Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and the Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), respectively. Both programs will be offered Saturday, October 20, 2012. Each program will provide 6.0 CPE credit hours that can be used toward pharmacy specialty recertification. To be eligible for recertification credits, the specialist must attend the pertinent live program and successfully complete the Web-based posttest for that program by November 30, 2012.
