Overview

Studying for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Pharmacotherapy Specialty Certification Examination just got a little easier with the ACCP Pharmacotherapy Flip Cards. Designed by Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) pharmacists, this electronic product contains a bank of 300 patient-centered, disease-specific questions that span across the entire Pharmacotherapy Specialty content outline.

Please note:

  • This product contains the same test questions as the 2025 edition, with approximately 25% of the bank replaced with new questions. The new questions are distributed across the full content outline. All questions—whether new or retained from last year—have been thoroughly reviewed and, when necessary, revised by the expert panel.
  • The content is reflective of the BPS Pharmacotherapy Specialty content outline distribution. For example, there are more flip cards testing Domain 1A. Primary Pharmacotherapy Specialty Areas than Domain 1B. Secondary Pharmacotherapy Specialty Areas, as the BPS outline states that more of the Pharmacotherapy Specialty Certification Examination will cover 1A than 1B. However, this product contains questions that test each area.
  • Continuing pharmacy education credit is not available for this product.
The Experience

Meet your specific studying needs by tailoring your review of the question bank in customized study sessions. You can review the entire bank by selecting Shuffle or filter questions to focus your review in any of the following study sessions:

  • By DomainExample: Only need to review questions mapped to Domain 3? Filter out any questions associated with Domains 1 and 2.
  • By Disease StateExample: Are you wanting to strengthen your knowledge of Psychiatry and Mental Health? Focus your study session on only questions that test a specific disease state.
  • By Card CountExample: Have 15 minutes between appointments? Filter the bank by a desired number of questions to match the time you have to study.

You will be shown one card at a time. The front of each card displays the question and answer choices A – D. Read through the patient case, piece through each component of the question, and consider each of the four options.

When ready, flip the card over to reveal the highlighted key, full explanation detailing the rationale behind each answer choice, and supporting reference(s).

Features
  • Hints: Feeling uncertain of the correct answer but not quite ready to see the key just yet? Click on the Hint feature to receive a short, but useful piece of direction that can help further guide you to the correct answer while you still apply your own independent reasoning.
  • Advanced Mode: Ready to really challenge yourself? Try Advanced Mode to restrict each card to the question alone (answer choices A – D will be hidden). The Hint feature will still be available to you in Advanced Mode, but only if selected per question. Note that any study session (by domain, by disease state, etc.) can use the Advanced Mode feature. At any time you can flip back to the default view to restore the answer choices.
  • Bookmark: Pin specific questions that you would like to re-review by clicking on Bookmark Question. You can create a study session only reviewing your bookmarked questions in any previous study session.
