The ACCP Foundation is requesting research proposal applications that focus on innovative patient-centered and team-based approaches that can be used by clinical pharmacists to achieve medication optimization.
Funding Opportunity Description
Background and Rationale. Medication optimization is achieved through the synergy of pharmacists establishing optimal medication regimens and ensuring their optimal use. The graphic below illustrates the importance of team-based and patient-centered care in achieving medication optimization. The graphic also provides a representation of the Foundation’s support of varied approaches and settings to achieve medication optimization.

Award Information. The Foundation has committed up to $200,000 to fund medication optimization research for this request for applications (RFA). The total budget for a single application cannot exceed $100,000. The total project period for an application submitted in response to this funding opportunity should not exceed 2 years.
Application Logistics and Timeline
July 14, 2023 – Required letters of intent (LOIs) are due by 5:00 p.m. (CST). Online LOI inquiries will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. (CST), July 7, 2023.
August 11, 2023 – Investigators who are invited to submit a full proposal will be notified.
October 31, 2023 – If invited, full proposals will be due on or before 5:00 p.m. (CST).
December 20, 2023 – Award decisions will be announced.
