ACCP offers BPS-approved recertification professional development programs for Ambulatory Care Pharmacy, Cardiology Pharmacy, Geriatric Pharmacy, Infectious Diseases Pharmacy, Oncology Pharmacy (in conjunction with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists), Critical Care Pharmacy, Pediatric Pharmacy, and Pharmacotherapy. PSAP 2023 Book 1 (Endocrinology and Nephrology) contains four learning modules offering up to 17.5 BCPS recertification credits. The first learning module focuses on evidence-based updates in diabetes, including the comprehensive management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients living with diabetes and an update on diabetes technology. The second module discusses the management of CKD-related complications with chapters on the approach to patients with CKD-mineral and bone disorder and anemia of CKD. The third module focuses on enhancing equitable care to gender-diverse patients, with one chapter on gender-affirming care for transgender patients and a second chapter on unique situations in transgender and gender-diverse care. The book concludes with three interactive cases on hot topics covering the approach to menopause, the critical and evolving evaluation of kidney functioning, and drug-induced endocrine disorders. The first module focuses on evidence-based updates in the treatment of patients experiencing prescription and nonprescription overdoses and the management of alcohol withdrawal. The second module discusses updates on the management of fluid and electrolyte disorders, including sodium, potassium, and calcium disorders, as well as updates on nutrition support in critically ill patients. The third module focuses on acute agitation, delirium, and sleep; acute dysrhythmias; and perioperative management of critically ill patients. The book concludes with two interactive cases covering current topics, including the approach to patients with life-threatening bleeding caused by antithrombotics and rapid sequence intubation.
