You Are Invited! Consultancy: Challenges in Billing, Contracting, and CMM Implementation

Join us at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, for Consultancy: Challenges in Billing, Contracting, and CMM Implementation on Monday, October 14, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. (MST), to be facilitated by Drs. Todd Sorensen and Ryan Wargo, representing core faculty from the Comprehensive Medication Management Implementation and Billing and Contracting for Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy Services ACCP Academies.

The Consultancy has a unique format, engaging participants in problem-solving conversations on real-time practice implementation challenges presented by attendees. There is no structured workshop agenda. Rather, this is an “all teach, all learn” session during which participants’ collective experience and creativity are used to identify strategies that address the challenges outlined in a series of cases. This format has received rave reviews from past attendees! It’s a great opportunity for community building, learning from others, and contributing your own experience and expertise.

This session is open to all Annual Meeting registrants. As an attendee, you can present your own case challenge or contribute to helping others identify solutions. Some examples of practice challenges reviewed at recent consultancies include:

  • We are currently providing comprehensive medication management and would like to begin billing via chronic care management codes. These codes are currently employed by case managers. How can we accurately capture the impact of the pharmacists providing this service and using this code?
  • How can we implement CMM into a clinically integrated network practice that covers ambulatory care referrals for more than 59 PCP/IM and specialty clinics across two states, ACO measures, MA star measures, and VBC contracts? Where would CMM best fit and provide reimbursement or improved outcomes?
  • How can we best utilize the functionality within EPIC Episodes to track the progress of our interventions toward care plans and patient panel size?

Please consider sharing a practice challenge for the session by submitting this form by Tuesday, September 24. Submissions are easy – provide a brief (50 words or less) description of the billing, contracting, or clinical service implementation challenge you are facing. Up to eight practice challenges will be selected for inclusion in the session. You must be present in order to have your challenge included.
