Koval, Seaton, and Thrasher Appointed to Ambulatory Care Specialty Council Koval to Serve as Inaugural Council Chair

Peter Koval, Pharm.D., BCPS, Terry Seaton, Pharm.D., BCPS, and Kimberly Thrasher, Pharm.D., BCPS, have been appointed by ACCP to 3-year terms on the Ambulatory Care Specialty Council of the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS). Koval will serve as the Chair of this new specialty council.

The nine-member specialty council is responsible for developing and administering the ambulatory care certification examination, scheduled to be offered by BPS annually beginning in 2011. Nine council members were appointed by the three recognized sponsors of Ambulatory Care—ACCP, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The council members representing the other sponsoring organizations are Cynthia Brennan, Pharm.D. (ASHP), Daniel Buffington, Pharm.D. (ASHP), Rebecca Wheeler Chater, MPH (APhA), Douglas Covey, Pharm.D. (ASHP), Karen Anderson Grace, Pharm.D., BCPS (APhA), and Maria Marzella Sulli, Pharm.D. (APhA). Dr. Covey will serve as Vice Chair.
