ACCP Report - August 2018

The 2018 Midterm Elections are Approaching – ACCP-PAC Contributions Support Bipartisan Health Care Leaders in Congress

As the 2018 election season nears, ACCP-PAC has over $60,000 cash on hand available to support elected officials and candidates who are committed to a care delivery system where clinical pharmacists, working within integrated medical practices, are responsible for significant components of medication management and for helping to achieve clinical goals.

Although the partisan divide in Washington remains challenging, ACCP is building and developing relationships with health care leaders from both parties who are willing to work with colleagues across the aisle to enact legislation focused on team-based, patient-centered care that measures and rewards quality and outcomes. However, these moderate, bipartisan legislators will likely face significant opposition as they seek reelection this November. It is therefore vital that ACCP provide support for such leaders in order to ensure they remain in Washington and continue to advance policies that meaningfully address the health care issues the nation currently faces.

Only ACCP members are eligible to contribute to the PAC. With its almost 17,000 members, ACCP is well positioned to become one of the most prominent pharmacy PACs in Washington, but to accomplish this, the College needs the widespread support of its members.

All ACCP members should consider donating at least $25 to ACCP-PAC. CLICK HERE to support your PAC today!
