ACCP Treasurer John Allen presented together with ACCP Past President and Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Chair Gary Yee at the 2025 National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA)/Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) annual convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, August 1-4. Their presentation was titled “Choosing a Career in Clinical Pharmacy: Entry, Advancement, and Impact.” The session included a review of ACCP’s Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacists and an inspirational overview of the impact of pharmacists in clinical pharmacy roles. Drs Allen and Yee shared pathways for entering the clinical pharmacy workforce and discussed opportunities for career advancement and maintenance of expertise through board certification. This program was co-sponsored by ACCP and BPS and is part of ACCP’s ongoing work to decrease barriers and increase access to clinical pharmacy career paths.
