Join us at the Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City on Monday, October 19, from 11:00 a.m. to noon (MDT) when the DEIA Committee will host a community-building session for existing and prospective affinity groups. Affinity groups are intended to represent social identity frameworks, creating additional opportunities for interaction with ACCP members with similar self-identified personal/social traits. This session will include brief remarks by ACCP and DEIA committee leadership followed by open discussion among attendees.

The Black Diaspora and Middle Eastern and North African affinity groups will each meet during this session, and prospective groups representing other identities are invited to attend as well. Examples of groups that met at the 2025 Annual Meeting include Asian/Pacific Islander individuals; individuals with chronic illness or disability; Latino, Latina, or Latinx individuals; and LGBTQIA+ individuals. No matter how you identify, we hope you will join us to connect with others and learn about affinity groups within ACCP. Interested groups will have the opportunity to convene at roundtables to discuss formalizing their group as well as other topics of interest such as workplace challenges, desired support and resources, expectations, and shared experiences.
